When to Visit Our BMW Repair Shop

January 6th, 2023 by

BMW vehicles are built to both perform and to last a long time. But every car needs some maintenance and repairs from time to time. We decided to put together this short list to help you know when it is time for you to bring your vehicle into our BMW repair shop.

Routine Maintenance

The best way to avoid any serious problems you have with any vehicle is to make sure it gets regular maintenance. Many only believe that means oil changes. However, to properly maintain your BMW, you’ll want to regularly replace:

  • Filters – cabin, fuel, air, and oil
  • Fluids – transmission, coolant/antifreeze, brake, power steering, and windshield washer
  • Brakes

Warning Signals

The other no-brainer time you definitely don’t want to ignore is when your vehicle itself is telling you it’s time to visit our BMW repair shop. Whenever any warning indicator lights up, it’s time. That includes everything from a check engine indicator to an oil pressure light.

It never hurts to get a checkup. It can hurt to ignore a warning.

Change of Seasons

Winter is tough on cars, especially in Illinois. That’s why you’ll want to make sure you bring you BMW in before winter strikes if possible. They can last long, too, so a second checkup in middle of winter isn’t a bad idea.

Here, our technicians can check your tire treads, fluids, brakes, and wipers. During the summertime, you should come in for other check, like air conditioning and coolant.

Is It Time for You to Visit Our BMW Repair Shop?

If you check any of the above boxes, it’s time to bring it down to our Savoy BMW dealership. Once here, our expert service department can help diagnose and fix any problem you are having. If parts our needed, our experience parts center will get you what you need. We look forward to seeing you!
