2023 BMW Z4 Trim Level Breakdown

The 2023 BMW Z4 is a beautiful roadster with plenty of power and performance to keep you aching for longer drives. But this car is far from one-size-fits-all; it comes with plenty of opportunities for customization. You’ll have some choices to make when picking out your next sports car — here’s what the different trims of the 2023 BMW Z4 have to offer.
sDrive30i Performance
There are two distinct trims on offer from BMW. The first is the sDrive30i Luxury version, which comes standard with a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline four-cylinder, 255-horsepower engine. Paired with the eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes, it has the power to grip you to your seat.
M40i Performance
The second trim is the performance-focused version, which is why its larger drivetrain shouldn’t come as a surprise. For speed enthusiasts, the M40i Performance Roadster’s 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder, 382-horsepower engine is a beast. That’s paired with the same eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission but adds the M Sport Differential.
Roadster Handling
There are a few other features that differentiate the two BMW Z4 trims. For instance, the performance version comes with M Sport Brakes with Blue Calipers for precision braking, as well as Adaptive M Suspension with electronically controlled damper. The sDrive301i version offers the regular M Sport suspension.
