This new BMW EV comes in two trims: the entry-level 2024 BMW i5 eDrive40 and the range-topping 2024 BMW i5 M60. The entry-level trim’s powertrain consists of a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive (RWD) — a combination with an output of 335 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, along with all-electric range of 295-miles.
Meanwhile, the range-topping trim adds a second electric motor to the mix, along with all-wheel drive (AWD), for a total output of 590 horsepower and 586 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, this trim promises a blistering 3.7-second zero-to-60 time.
